As a Product Designer for our Furniture, Home Decor, and General Merchandise Trading Company, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and developing aesthetically pleasing and functional products. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, foreign designers, staying abreast of industry trends, and ensuring that our product offerings align with market demands and customer preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualization and Design:

Develop innovative and appealing design concepts for furniture, home decor, and general merchandise.

Create detailed sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design ideas.
Trend Analysis:
●
Stay informed about current design trends, materials, and technologies in the furniture and home decor industry.

Incorporate market trends into product designs to maintain a competitive edge.
Material Selection:

Research and select appropriate materials based on aesthetics, functionality, and cost considerations.
●
Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality and sustainable materials.
Prototyping and Testing:
●
Oversee the development of prototypes for new product designs.
●
Conduct testing and gather feedback to refine and improve prototypes.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

Work closely with the sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure alignment with business goals.

Collaborate with engineers to ensure the feasibility of designs.
Cost Management:

Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize material costs without compromising quality.
●
Explore cost-effective manufacturing processes.
Product Documentation:
●
Prepare detailed design specifications, including material lists and manufacturing instructions.
●
Maintain comprehensive product documentation for reference and quality control.
Qualifications:
●
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
●
A minimum of 6–8 years of relevant experience in a trading company as a 3D Designer, specializing in Hard Goods and Soft Goods.
●
Proven experience as a product designer, preferably in the furniture and home decor industry.
●
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
●
Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends.
●
Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) and the ability to interact effectively in English
