QA Tester responsibilities include:
Job brief:
We are looking for a QA Tester having around 2-4 years of experience to assess software
quality through manual testing (mandatory) and automated testing (optional). You will be
responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches.
In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you
are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to
meet you.
Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.
Responsibilities:
● Review and analyze system specifications
● Collaborate with corresponding stakeholders to develop effective strategies and test
plans
● Writing and Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
● Evaluate product workflow according to specifications
● Create logs to document testing phases and defects and report the same.
● Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
● Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software
development life-cycle and help troubleshoot issues
● Daily and weekly reporting about the progress of testing
Requirements and skills:
● Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
● Sound knowledge of SDLC, STLC and Bug Life Cycle
● Experience in project management and QA methodology will be added advantage
● Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
● Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
● Knowledge of test management cum bug tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail,
PractiTest, Zephyr) and SQL
● Excellent communication and documentation skills (e.g. Test Scenarios and Test
Cases)
● Attention to detail with an analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
● Strong organizational skills
● BSc/MSc in Computer Science, BE/B.Tech Engineering, BCA/MCA or a related field
